Building on the success of Sunshine State Tag Agency, in 1995 Auto Tag of America was founded with the vision of being the largest Title and Registration provider in the US. It was recognized that fleet vehicle owners face particular obstacles in managing T&R on vehicles that were constantly crossing state lines. Every day that a vehicle can’t move because of an expired registration or delayed title creates a loss of potential revenue. Auto Tag of America’s answer was to open local offices in Arizona and Texas to expand our base of operation. We continue to invest heavily in technology and strategic partnerships to streamline the T&R process to better serve our customers.

The International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) is an agreement between the member jurisdictions (all contiguous states, the District of Columbia and participating Canadian provinces) to simplify the reporting of motor fuel taxes by interstate motor carriers. IFTA reporting significantly reduces the paperwork and standardizes motor fuel tax reporting for both carriers and jurisdictions. IFTA is a similar program to IRP, but it addresses the taxes carriers pay on the fuel they use. IFTA proportionally shares the taxes paid on fuel purchases across all jurisdictions through which the carrier travels.
